Have you ever purchased a baby seat for your vehicle and felt so overwhelmed at how amazing, or how heartbreaking, your recent discovery was? Have you ever thought to yourself, “does it really matter which brand I go with?” I have asked the same thing on many occasions, and it wasn’t until I actually conducted a little market research on the subject that I discovered which brands offer the top of the line safety features my children could most benefit from. It astounded me that there were actually more than one brand of baby car seats on the market, let alone baby car seats that offer more safety features than the rest of the available product lines.
One of the better brands I have ran across has been Graco! This company develops baby car seats with the babies in mind, as the seats have been lined with Luxury Foam, designed to specifically mold itself to the child’s body shape. My wife and I purchased a cheap brand baby car seats and our child paid the price for it. His body was super sensitive after a long road trip to visit my wife’s parents, and it wasn’t until later that we realized it was all due to the tough, thin foam that lined our car seat. We purchased the new Graco model of baby car seats and immediately saw the difference. The next time we decided to spend a week or two with his grandparents, he slept the entire trip, giving us a sense of relief knowing that our child would no longer feel any pain as a result of our attempts at saving money.
Another excellent company that provides baby car seats is Maxi Cosi! The only reason that I ran across this little gem is because our second child, our little Amora, was born a little prematurely. Due to her size, we knew we needed a set of smaller baby car seats for our vehicles, so I started researching the internet for something that would cater to our needs. Lo and behold, I ran across Maxi Cosi… more importantly, I ran across their Cozi – Dozi cushion insert, narrowing their unit down for the smaller sized infants. This little discovery was truly blessing in disguise, and, when our third child arrived, the insert was easily removed and we were able to use it for our 12 LB, 2 oz little monster.
Last but not least, the Recaro Signo company. They have become well known in my family as being one of the few baby car seats made from a hand washable fabric, making those nasty occurrences disappear in the matter of seconds. No joke! By using regular fabric cleaner, you are able to take out any of the stains that you child may have mistakenly and unknowingly put there while you were on your long road trip. It came in handy more than once, let me tell you!
All in all, these three companies are the companies you are going to want to look into when it comes time to purchase your very own baby car seats!
